The Battlefield Guide

Chad Gowey recently illustrated a book of poetry entitled, The Battlefield Guide, written by New Hampshire poet, Rodger Martin. Published by Hobblebush Books, Martin's work chronicles The American Civil War. "Rather than [using] the poems as a viewmaster on [the war], [the] volume strives to use those landscapes as a prism in which to view ourselves" (Rodger Martin). The artist collaborated with Martin on The Blue Moon Series in 2007.
